Drawing to Learn in the Field: A Nature Journaling Workshop

Spend a full day with author and naturalist Roseann Hanson in a hands-on workshop that will help you start or grow your nature journaling practice. We’ll start indoors, where Roseann will show you easy ways to observe, sketch, and record what you notice in nature. This workshop is for all experience levels – no drawing experience is required.

After the morning session, we’ll go outside to practice drawing and learning in the beautiful area around the historic Groom Creek Schoolhouse. This spot, set in a ponderosa pine forest south of Prescott, is filled with pines, junipers, Gambel oaks, grasses, and wildflowers. It’s a perfect place to slow down, look closely, and put what you see on paper.
